As you may know, I am a hazelnut freak! However, finding the healthy combination of eating this nut with chocolate isn’t the easiest. So, my challenge was to figure out a new keto fat bomb combination that tasted amazing and was going to give me the healthy fats that I need. Now I finally created it!
Here is what you’re going to need for this fat bomb recipe:
- 1 cup of roasted hazelnuts. (Bake hazelnuts in a 350 degree oven for a few minutes, until you can smell the hazelnuts).
- 1 tbsp. unsweetened cacao powder
- 1 tbsp. Swerve
- 2 tbsp. melted butter
- 2 tbsp. dark chocolate. This one is important because you want to buy dark chocolate with the highest percentage of purity, it has less carbs in it. The one I bought was from Trader Joe’s, I pictured it so you can see the brand. It has 85% purity and made in France. It’s delicious!
In order to get the right consistency, you have to create hazelnut butter. Blending the hazelnuts until they become a smooth”ish” texture and I say that because it will never be creamy. Just like almond butter, there’s still that graininess to it.
